what is Summer Tennis Camp?
RecTennis works with local schools and parks & rec departments to bring Summer Tennis Camps to their communities. Our program runs weekly all summer long in 1.5 hour, 4 hour and 8 hour sessions.
Our 1.5 hour programs focus on tennis, while our 4 and 8 hour sessions also include fun camp games + activities, and swimming (select locations).
- tennis equipment provided
- learn basic skills in a non-competitive atmosphere
- play high energy games
- play fun camp activities and games
- music + prizes
With our Summer Tennis Camps, you can keep the kids busy, active and having fun with new friends at a park or community space near you!
This program is designed to:
- Teach basic tennis skills
- Smash summer boredom by keeping kids active
- Pick up life lessons and skills kids can take off the court
RecTennis is smashing summer boredom and serving up tennis basics at a park near you!
No equipment? No problem! We provide the necessary tennis equipment, including special equipment (like smaller-sized racquets and low-compression starter balls!) that’s sized just right for kids.
Our tennis curriculum combines fun activities with life lessons in leadership, teamwork, and other important concepts and principles. Your kiddos will learn way more than just how to perfect their backhand.
don’t forget to bring water!
Camps in action
“My daughter was very nervous, as she had never even swung a tennis racket. The instructors were fabulous and make her feel very comfortable. She had a blast and caught on quickly. She loved it and we will definitely be signing up next summer.”
“I really like RecTennis because not only are kids learning physical tennis skills, they are also learning really important life skills that they can take off the court: goal setting, honesty, responsibility, communication and coordination.”
